Conmebol established the Organizing Committee of the Copa América Brasil 2019

The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) established this Friday the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to organize the Copa América of 2019 soccer that will be based in Brazil.
The governing body of South American football made the establishment of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in the coastal town of Punta del Este, southeast of Uruguay, where it is meeting on the occasion of its annual congress.
The LOC will be in charge of all preparations for the oldest international soccer competition in the world and will have its base of operations in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. The Operational Direction will be in charge of the Olympic ex-athlete Agberto Guimaraes, with a "professional work team with experience in the World Cup of Brazil (2014) and the Rio 2016 Olympics", notes the statement from the Conmebol.Defined the schedules of the Groups phase of the Copa Libertadores
The venues and the invited selections will be defined and announced in the coming weeks, said the agency. The representatives of the ten soccer federations of South America approved the "organizational structure", the "responsibilities matrix" and the "definition of the first operational steps for the preparation" of the Copa América 2019.
Likewise, the CONMEBOL document adds that the COL Board of Directors will be composed of representatives of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) as its president, Carlos Nunes de Lima; its vice president, Fernando Sarnet and the Executive Director of Management, Rogério Caboclo.
In addition, the ex-players and world champions of the Brazilian team Cafú and Branco will participate. "We now enter a period of accelerated work to make the best Copa America in history," said Sarney, who also stressed that the next competition will close a "cycle" of sporting events played in Brazil.
The South American giant will host the Copa America for the fifth time, since it also hosted the tournament in 1919, 1922, 1949 and 1989. The competition will take place from June 14 to July 7, 2019.
